The prominent and great Qari (reciter) of the Islamic world , Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Fattah al-Qari, died today in Medina at the age of 80.

He was one of the senior professor of Jamia Islamia Madinah. And he was also the dean of University’s College al-Qur’an, as well as he was the chief supervisor of the committee created in connection with the printing of the Holy Qur’an in Shah Fahad Printing Press, Medina. He also performed the duties of Imam in Masjid Quba, the fourth most important mosque of Islam, for a period of time.

He was born in Makkah, but spent most of his educational life in Madinah.

He wrote a book under the name of Sunan Al-Qara wal-Mujawidin, and also authored a permanent book on the explanation of the Saba Ahruf .These two books have been translated into Urdu
